The NMLS exam covers five main content areas:

The National Component of the NMLS exam consists of 125 questions. Of these, 115 questions are scored, and 10 are unscored pretest questions used for future exam development. You won't know which questions are scored and which are pretest questions.

The passing score for the National Component of the NMLS exam is 75%, which means you need to answer at least 87 out of the 115 scored questions correctly.

You are allowed 190 minutes (3 hours and 10 minutes) to complete the National Component of the NMLS exam.
